By Stanley Oamen
It has come to our attention that there are false reports claiming that the National Association of Nigerian Students (NANS) has endorsed Monday Okpebholo. We categorically deny these claims.
The recent event by the Dr. Paddy Emmanuel Foundation, marketed as a youth empowerment program, was actually a political rally for Monday Okpebholo. Attendees were misled, believing they were participating in an educational and financial empowerment program. This deception is unacceptable.
Imade Stephen, who purportedly endorsed Okpebholo on behalf of NANS, holds no legitimate position within NANS at any level. His endorsement is not recognized and is misleading. The event’s deceptive nature does not reflect NANS’ values or endorsement protocols.
As a recognized leader within NANS, I, Comrade Stanley Oamen, emphasize that the endorsement of Monday Okpebholo lacks authenticity and student support. The true students of Edo State and their leaders will endorse the right candidate at the appropriate time. We urge respect for transparency and genuine representation in all political engagements.
