In a desperate attempt to rally support for Monday Okpebholo in a bustling Benin City market, Adams Oshiomole who once was very popular across Edo state faced an uphill battle today trying to cajole traders to listen to him in a market in Benin. Despite substantial financial inducements, the market remained largely indifferent, with traders and shoppers showing little interest.
“A bad product is hard to sell. Oshiomole manages to gather a few people for Monday Okpebholo despite huge financial inducement” a local observer noted.
Okpebholo’s speech was marred by characteristic blunders, highlighting his lack of preparedness and understanding of local issues. He was asking whether the people had a school in the area despite the fact that a school was around the vicinity.
In contrast, Asue Ighodalo’s campaign continues to gain momentum, built on trust, competence, and a genuine desire to serve. His visit to Ora today was welcome by enthusiastic voters who pledged to vote PDP. The people of Edo State are rallying behind Ighodalo’s vision for economic empowerment and social welfare, rejecting short-term inducements and seeking genuine leadership.
As the election approaches, the tide is turning in favor of a future that promises prosperity, stability, and progress—values that Asue Ighodalo represents.
